Chimney Indian Kitchen was founded by Jasbir Singh and Srikanth Gaddam in 2020, with the goal of bringing authentic Indian cuisine to every corner of the USA. The restaurant is a new addition to Chapel Hill’s downtown, and is a modern and dynamic eatery and bar. The founders’ passion for Indian cuisine, love for North Carolina and unwavering focus on sourcing ingredients locally is evident throughout Chimney’s attitude and food.
Born and raised in Punjab, Chef Jasbir’s expertise in Indian cuisine stems from an uncompromising passion for taste and love of quality ingredients. Having worked in the United States since 1980, Chef Jasbir has become one of North Carolina’s longest standing restaurateurs. Over this time he has developed the unique ability to utilize local ingredients and flavors to produce new and sensational dishes.
Chef Srikanth is A self-taught chef who constantly researches and uses new ingredients and techniques to produce the best food possible. Using this as a foundation, his goal is always to serve food that satisfies and respects the nature of the eye, mind and body. His charismatic nature and ability to relate knowledge to his audience on a personal level has also made him popular locally.
